Privacy notice
APlates Stock is Aplates Limited's internal stock system. It is run by Aplates Limited, Westbury, Wiltshire (the data controller). Questions or requests: hello@aplates.co.uk, 01373 481349.
Customers' orders
To know how many letters, numbers, blanks, borders and badges each order uses, the system copies a few details of each website order: the order number, dates, status, the products and their plate options (size, border, badge, front or rear) and the registration on the plate. It does not keep names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details or documents (V5C, licence, passport).
- Why: to make the plates the customer ordered and keep enough stock to do so (performing the customer's contract, and Aplates' legitimate interest in managing stock).
- How long: the registration is kept until 90 days after the order is completed or cancelled. After that only its characters are kept, in alphabetical order, so the plate can no longer be identified. Order details remain on the Aplates website under its own privacy policy.
- Your rights: you can ask for a copy of, or the removal of, your details at any time using the contact details above. A registration can be removed from this system straight away.
Staff using the system
- What: your login name, a securely scrambled copy of your password (never the password itself), and which stock changes you make and when.
- Why: so only Aplates staff can see stock and orders, and so stock changes can be checked and undone.
- How long: your login is kept while you need it and removed when you leave. The history of stock changes is kept for as long as the stock records are needed.
Cookies
One cookie is used, only to keep you logged in (aps_session). It is strictly necessary, so no consent banner is needed. There is no tracking, advertising or analytics.
Where the data is kept
On a private server rented from Hostinger, reached only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and behind a firewall. Hostinger acts as a data processor for Aplates.
